The Role of the Account Manager:

The main purpose of the role is to sell across a large portfolio of advertising and marketing solutions to include conference and award sponsorship, print, digital, content marketing and bespoke client solutions, being responsible for a number of accounts and generating new business. You will be targeting blue chip organisations and SME's.

Key Responsibilities:

Selling on the telephone and face to face around the UK and regularly overseas at events

  • Identifying and acquiring new customers with a particular focus on online advertising, content marketing and bespoke solutions

  • Identifying new product opportunities

  • Maintaining and growing a number of existing accounts and building strong relationships with those clients through regular face-to-face and telephone contact and high levels of customer service

  • Attending industry events and shows, both around the UK and regularly overseas

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Proven success in selling media products, preferably in a B2B marketplace, to new and existing clients

  • Clear understanding of the typical products in the B2B media industry, especially around digital advertising formats and bespoke solutions

  • Demonstrable success in new business and account management

  • Experience of selling online advertising and presenting response feedback to clients

  • Experience of selling sponsorship to events such as awards and conferences

  • Understanding the day-to-day running of a magazine and it all it entails
