Regional Director

Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of Exhibitions within one of the most vibrant, exciting and affluent B2B sectors. They are now looking for a Regional Director to be based out of London who will be the point of contact with the European Head Office.

Reporting to the Brands Director, the Regional Director looks after the current and future activities of the exhibitions and other events in the UK & Ireland and represents its brands within the markets.


The role includes the following main responsibilities:

Successfully implement the company strategy and develop local strategic plans.

Prepare strategic reviews of the business.

Identify and exploit opportunities for development in the UK.

Maintain high-level relationships with customers, industry leaders and key constituents in the UK.

Be the ambassador of the division in the UK, attend other events & conferences, moderate panels, and contribute to their blog and Social Media activities. Create special connections with local associations, organisations and cities.

Maintain close relationships with press and be able to answer press interviews.

Assist the relation with the Department for International Trade – UK government.

Coordinate and drive the brands advisory board

Drive commercial activity for the portfolio in collaboration with the Global Sales Director.

Coach and lead the team on a daily basis and in a matrix environment where people also have a dotted line in Europe.

As the most senior person in the UK office, the Regional Director will be the main point of contact of the office.

Experience required:

Candidates will be required to show their dynamism, have a passion for selling premium products/events, the ability to think of ways of developing business by creating and launching new products and services, be team oriented, results driven, well organised, and have the capacity to understand and adapt to different cultures.

Experience of strategic reviews and being the face of a brand in the marketplace.

At least 5 years of sales or business development experience.

The ability to propose multiple solutions adapted to clients’ needs.

Proven team management skills with the ability to motivate the sales team in the face of ambitious targets.

Excellent customer management/relations skills.

An excellent track record in growing brands and revenues within a business unit.

Experience in working in a satellite sales office.

Salary Package:

A six figure package is available for the right person, plus 25 days holiday and additional benefits such as Pension, Healthcare etc.
