Meet the Team

Michaella Barton (AKA Mic)

Michaella Barton (AKA Mic)

Michaella's background is HR, with over 20 years’ experience at your disposal across various markets; her specialisms being ER and recruitment. Michaella launched Elliott Barton with Shaun as she felt that they could make a real difference throughout the recruitment process. Her experience of working with recruitment providers (as the client) enables her to deliver a more personal service with the added expertise that her extensive HR background provides.

Michaella is naturally an upbeat, annoyingly jolly person, who is considered to be “totally embarrassing” by her 3 teenage children! If she wasn’t at Elliott Barton, she would be a farmer, having collected a variety of animals ranging from hamsters and chickens, to horses (her passion).

Shaun Barton

Shaun Barton

Shaun set up Elliott Barton Recruitment back in May 2013 after a successful 25-year career in Media, holding the belief that people are at the core of any good business and champions this on a daily basis. These values are at the heart of Elliott Barton Recruitment and Shaun’s ensures the business delivers consistently high standards. Shaun’s extensive network and industry knowledge provides you with access to and insight into, the talent your business needs to achieve your objectives and growth. If he wasn’t at Elliott Barton, then he would be out playing a multitude of sports, trying to prove that he is still stronger and fitter than his three children. By the way, it isn’t working!

Gill Sutherland

Gill Sutherland

Gill is the Office Manager and the backbone of the operation. Gill’s background was originally in Programming and Analysis but she now enjoys using her organisational skills to keep the office running effectively and the team in order so they can focus on delivery for their clients and candidates. Gill wears various hats, including Admin, Marketing, Finance to name a few.

If Gill wasn’t at Elliott Barton, you would find her running and cycling around the South Downs, making the rest of us feel very unhealthy.

Velvet

Velvet

Arguably the most important team member, our resident King Charles spaniel! Velvet, keeps us all calm and makes sure that we stay reasonably healthy by demanding that she gets regular walks around Arundel.
